Community rules
No objectionable content. No abusive users.
These rules apply to everything on Rindit — posts, comments, clips, stories, profiles, messages and groups. By using Rindit you agree to follow them. There is no tolerance for content or people that break them.
Not allowed on Rindit
- Sexual content or nudity, and anything that sexualises a child — that ends an account at once.
- Hate: attacking people for their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or illness.
- Violence and threats, including praising or encouraging violence or self-harm.
- Harassment and bullying: targeting, intimidating or repeatedly contacting somebody who does not want it.
- Illegal content, or selling or promoting anything illegal where you or the reader are.
- Spam and scams: bulk unsolicited messages, fake giveaways, and attempts to take people's money or accounts.
- Pretending to be someone else, or posting another person's private information without their permission.
- False information meant to cause harm.
You also need to be 13 or older to use Rindit. An account that says otherwise is deleted.
Report it, or block them
- Report a post: tap ⋯ on the post, then Report, and choose what is wrong with it.
- Report a clip: tap the flag on the clip.
- Block a person: open their profile and tap Block. They can no longer message you or see what you post, and they are not told.
- Anything else — including abuse in a conversation — write to [email protected].
What happens when the rules are broken
A report is reviewed by a person. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the account that posted it can be suspended or closed.
If we act on your account, we tell you, and you can appeal. A suspension silences an account; it never stops you appealing it. We never name the person who reviewed a report.
The rest of what applies to your account, and what we hold about you, is on the terms and privacy page.
